Potion Seller

This is my last project for the class! I took the dialog from a viral video of a man parodying potion sellers in Tolkienesque games.

Walk Cycle Slouch

Our project for this week was to finish up our first full body walk cycle! I had a lot of fun configuring the body, from the skeleton to the skin! 

Flour Sack Cartwheel

As an exercise to practice movement, we worked on our own flour sack animations. I chose a cartwheel because its something fairly recognizable, but you also have to pay attention to which limbs are reaching the ground and which are still in the air. It makes each corner have its own momentum.

Claw Machine

Here's my claw machine project! My goal for this work was to make a looping gif while including past techniques that we learned, and I think I got what I wanted.

Cliff Ball

This exercise was to test out how well we work with collision between objects. I wanted to explore a different shape other than a circle so I went with a square. I feel like moving them both along arcs went well. I think as we learn more advanced techniques I'd like to make the ball go through a cardboard box, leaving behind a hole.

Ball exercises

Here are the exercises for after the first day of class. They all made sense too me, especially over shoot and settle which I think turned out great, but I was having trouble with vibrate. I would definitely like to give it another go.

A fun title!

Hello! My name is Ross Fendelman. I am a writing major and animation minor with a focus in writing for animation. I plan on writing for adolescent or young adult animated television. I'd probably like to work with companies like Netflix or Hulu. One of my favorite companies is Laika who made Coraline. My favorite western show is Avatar: The Last Airbender and my favorite eastern show is Scissor Seven. I'm hoping to learn as muchabout 2D animation as I can during this class so I can know exactly what I'm working with. I'm excited for my future in this class!
